Cathleen Jia x
The White Files
The CJ x TWF Collaborative Collection was born out of the shared desire to help redefine the way of celebrating love and individuality for the modern wave of brides. Cathleen and Ella wanted to create something that transcends the realm of bridal, breaking traditions, borders and expectations. Something that is in line with their values of sustainability and inclusion, and something that simplifies the way brides shop for their gown.
The Story Behind the Collection
Nearly three years ago, Melbourne based designer Cathleen Jia saw that Ella Zampatti from The White Files was coming to Melbourne, so she didn't miss a beat to invite Ella out for cocktails on Chapel Street.
The two hit it off immediately and began planning their first shoot, and then their second, and then their third...
The pair started talking almost every day sharing their passion for the bridal industry, and when they were talking about Cathleen launching an online collection - there was a light bulb moment to embark on this next journey together. They wanted to marry Cathleen's design experience with Ella's marketing background and finger on the pulse of what modern brides want.
And so the two embarked on a whirlwind trip to the silk capital of the world, China, to source unique fabrics and details for their debut collection.
The Collaborative Collection
The debut Cathleen Jia x The White Files Collaborative Collection brings together Cathleen and Ella's individual expertises and skills to create something that the modern bride has always dreamt of.
