Maison Margot’s FW26 collection, Mirage des Camélias, is a love letter to the Victorian era — a time defined by contradiction. Beneath layers of corsetry and convention, it was an age of quiet rebellion. Emotions were whispered, never spoken. Desire hid behind lace and velvet. It was a world where beauty and pain existed in delicate balance, where restraint only made passion more potent.

At the heart of this collection lies La Dame aux Camélias, the story that inspired it all. The tragic heroine, Marguerite Gautier, lived and loved within society’s confines, embodying grace even as she defied it. Her symbol — the camellia — became a motif for Maison Margot’s vision this season: a flower admired for its perfection and yet destined to fade too soon.
Through ethereal fabrics and sculpted silhouettes, Mirage des Camélias reimagines Victorian romance for the modern bride. Tulle and taffeta meet structure and shadow, creating gowns that feel at once fragile and unyielding. Each piece carries a trace of Marguerite’s spirit — poised, untouchable, and achingly human.
This is not just nostalgia for the past, but a resurrection of its emotion — the beauty of what cannot last, and the elegance of feeling deeply, even in silence.
